Here is a chain of emails I thought I'd share.  What I find interesting (& sad) is the lack of knowledge, wisdom & discernment people have.  I don't know the truth of the events that took place in this original email, but what it triggered was interesting.  The responses are real, from real people.

Allah or Jesus

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States . I'd say all non Muslims better start paying attention.

Allah or Jesus? by  Rev. Rick Mathes (he is heavily involved in prison ministry)

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.

During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their belief systems.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked:

"Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world.

And, that by killing an infidel, which is a command to all Muslims, they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?"

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!"

I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight.  All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can go to Heaven.    Is that correct?

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

He sheepishly replied, "Yes."

I then stated, "Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine the Pope commanding all Catholics to kill those of  your faith or Dr. Charles Stanley ordering Protestants to do the same in order to go to Heaven!"

The Imam was speechless.

I continued, "I also have problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me.

Let me ask you a question.

Would you rather have your Allah who tells you to kill me in order to go to Heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to Heaven and He wants you to be with me?"

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the diversification training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslim's beliefs.

I think everyone in the US should be required to read this, but with the liberal justice system, liberal media, and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized.

Please pass this on to all your email contacts.

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well known leader in prison ministry. "I would hope you would share this with your entire email addresses. They have a right to know what is going on in "Our" UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ....!"

And if this story offends any one, then we have a serious problem....

"It can be dangerous to weaken the strong in our attempts to strengthen the weak."

Response 1 <--- I assumed (never assume) that everyone would delete the original email.  I didn't really think much of it.  When I got this response, sent to everyone who had received the original email, I didn't make much of it, shrugged it off and went to bed.  (Hint: God doesn't let you shrug anything off.)

Please be careful with these types of mis-representations you are spreading.

I’m surprised that the Imam could not correctly answer your question about ‘slaughter of the infidels’. Let me help him. The edict "to slaughter the infidels" was issued at a time when Muslims were under attack and this command was issued permitting them to defend themselves....the edict further stated that Muslims could not harm the infidels if they were surrendering. When the edict was issued some 1400+ years ago, it was directed at the Arabs of the Arabian Peninsula at the time of the establishment of Islam.  In those times, those Arabs were considered some of the most backward tribal people...they practiced idol worshipping and used the Kaaba as a home of 360 idols. Such edicts are no different than those in Christianity, where chaplains, holding the bible in one hand, exhort or pray for their armies to defeat the enemy. Also, recall the Christian Crusades and the Inquisition. Many Muslims were murdered by the exhortations of their Christian religious leaders. Hopefully, we have emancipated ourselves and no longer try to incite such abominable actions.

Muslims regard Jews and Christians as peoples of one god. People who don’t believe in one God are infidels. Keep in mind that there was never a Koranic command to kill Christians or Jews.

Polarizing the world will only hasten its demise. Instead, strive for understanding and tolerance.

Response  2 <---- This was the response the got my attention.

Thank you for setting the record straight.....there are so many misconceptions about Islam, those who know better must enlighten those who do not know. Yes, we are peoples of one god and so we must  all strive for understanding and tolerance. Luv  :}

Response 3... That is my final answer!

But is there not still today a facet of Islam that is killing those that don't convert? That same facet hates all Jews & Christians. I don't agree that Muslims and Jews & Christians serve one God. Christians believe that Jesus is God. Jesus IS the Jewish Messiah. Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet. What other 'prophet' has risen from grave? Muhammad didn't. Buddha didn't. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but this war we are in, is a war on terrorism, Islamic terrorists. I've done a little homework on the Muslim religion and I understand what you are saying because not all Muslims believe like those we hear about everyday, but the fact remains that they are still there. Just like Christians have to remember, there are those who aren't portraying the true light of Jesus. And just because someone is holding a Bible, doesn't mean they know what it says. Just because someone is holding the Koran, doesn't mean they know what it says either. The fact remains, Jesus died for EVERYONE, no matter the race, color, sex.... He died for everyone without prejudice. Jesus is the son of God, He is the Messiah. If you take Christ out of Christmas, you have nothing. He is the reason for not just the season, but HE IS.

Tolerance is what got us to where we are today. Jesus did NOT teach tolerance. Jesus did teach loving God and loving others, but sometimes that love is a love that corrects and disciplines. That love is a love that embraces the His truth, the one and only true God.

"Jesus says, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" John 14:6

"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."  Rev. 22:18-19

I pray that God leads everyone to the truth,
